This place was the first place I went to and it helped pretty well

I've been to 6 different hospitals multiple times for self harm, suicide attemps, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, and auditory hallucinations and this one helped me the most the staff were really nice and helpful and actually seemed to care.

Overall, it's nice...enough. I must say that you're probably worse when you come out than when you first got admitted. Some of the staff are just extremely rude and lack respect. It like being treated by children. I've been there twice, and I can't stand it. The only thing/things that made me feel a little bit better was the art room and the people I was in there with. I probably would have went completely nuts without them. But I would like to say that Cletus, Max, Mama, & Mama D were the best staff there.

I went there on the week of the 11th of May and to be honest it was okay. The patients i was with were awesome and i made friends (even a girlfriend)!! Some of the staff was awesome, especially this one guy who was sarcastic. The food was okay. But the parts that were the worst were when we went to bed, the staff wouldn’t be quiet. Also, they tried to draw my blood 7 times and i think it’ll make more since if you couldn’t get blood the first couple of times. There was also a girl there and she had hallucinations and they put her on UR because of it. Also with the same girl she was getting dizzy and none of the staff would help her. Ridiculous.

This place really was a great help to me, I had some real issues with substance abuse that co occured with severe depression and anxiety. They helped me detox then helped me arrange for some longer term treatment. 8.5 months clean and sober.

My brother had maybe 4 acute stays here, and 7 more elsewhere, but here I have to say was the best place he was admitted to other than Harsha in Terre Haute. The staff here were very helpful to my brother and did tackle his treatment goals, helped him with his aggression as much as they could. My little sister did also have one stay here. I do think that the Teen unit needs more supervision. My sister was there for Self Harm, Depression, and Suicidal Ideation. She was only 12 when she was put there, but she got put on the Teen Unit and got placed into a room with a Teen girl. The girl that my sister shared the room with, got my sister to cut herself while in there. Apparently it was with a bra wire, which I don't understand because aren't you supposed to get a skin test when you get admitted? Shouldn't they take out the bra wire? It was all very confusing. But my sister did come home with multiple, deep, cuts on her arms that weren't there when she was admitted. Other than my sister's situation, I'd recommend Bloomington Meadows.

Patients can be quite the handful, but from my experience in 2 acute (5-7 days) stays and a residential (6 months-1 year) stay, the staff i've been accompanied with have been most helpful. The groups on acute are intensive, daily, and well informative. The staff is well trained and equipped to handle situations as they arise. A big chunk of the Meadows experience is the patient set you must co-exist with. I highly recommend this facility as it has definitely changed my thought processes and abilities to handle myself in situations I could not prior to this. Thank you!

This hospital did wonders for my fiancee while she was an inpatient at their location but once she became outpatient they no longer seemed to give a damn about her. It would take forever to get her medicine refilled so she would run out for days before they would send a refill. The nurse practitioner she has is useless and they won't let her switch. They forget her pharmacy information even though they've refilled her prescriptions there in the past. Not to mention, they have the wrong name on her file, and the list just goes on. Inpatient is great, but the outpatient is so careless it's unbelievable.
